Grafton Middle School Roof Replacement

planned

The project involves replacing the roof of Grafton Middle School, which was built in 1963 and has undergone patchwork maintenance leading to significant water damage. The replacement is proposed in two sections: the first over classrooms costing approximately $1.65 million, and the second covering the area connecting classrooms, cafeteria, and gymnasium, expected to cost $2 million to $2.5 million. Funding is proposed through a combination of free cash, capital improvements plan budget, and a potential Massachusetts School Building Authority Accelerated Repair Program grant that could reimburse roughly 50% of the cost.
