Grand Rapids Riverfront Project

The Grand Rapids Riverfront Project is a transformational development plan approved for $560.89 million to be reimbursed over 30 years. It will transform nearly seven acres at Fulton Street and Market Avenue in downtown Grand Rapids, including a surface parking lot and vacant land. The project includes three new mixed-use towers with 670 housing units, a luxury hotel, over 2,500 parking spaces, 68,000 square feet of greenspace, and nearly 38,000 square feet of retail space. The towers consist of an office tower with 21 stories including parking, retail, and restaurant space; a hotel tower with a 130-room hotel, 76 owner-occupied residential condos, ground level retail, and parking; and a residential tower with 595 residential units, parking, and ground level retail spaces. The project also invests in public spaces such as a promenade, riverwalk, lookouts, and riverfront steps, aiming to improve connectivity and revitalize the downtown riverfront area.
