Description | Redevelopment of long unused municipal brownfield lands into affordable housing development in an environmentally sensitive area. Emphasis on marketing affordable residential units to seniors, as municipal study of seniors’ issues released in 2008 indicates a much increased need for such affordable housing in Brantford within the next decade. A comparison of the 2000 and the 2013 municipal affordable housing studies shows the significant shortfall from anticipated growth in available affordable housing in Brantford, and the desperate need for more of such housing. |
