Description | "Grandir et Réussir son Éducation à la Citoyenneté Européenne. The GRECE project (Grandir et Réussir son Éducation à la Citoyenneté Européenne / Growing up successfully as a European citizen) will primarily focus on two components: the “General Knowledge Workshop” for non-vocational students and the “Club Europe” for vocational students. These initiatives aim to prompt students to contemplate the meaning of growing up as a European citizen and how they can enhance their civic commitment in Europe in 2024. At its core, our GRECE project is an interdisciplinary endeavor, situated at the intersection of various academic fields such as political sciences, economics, geopolitics, history, geography, art history, philosophy, and foreign languages. These subjects will be explored in regular classes, our “Atelier Culture Générale et Sciences Politiques,” conferences, and field trips to institutions like the ""Maison de l'Europe de Provence"" or the European Commission in Marseille. The cohesion and dynamism of our project will be driven by transdisciplinary tools and projects developed over the three-year period, placing students in a position of active learning. Key elements include: * Creation, Implementation, and Lobbying for an ECI (European Citizen's Initiative): This involves students selecting a topic and engaging in the entire process, essential for empowering teenagers as active citizens capable of understanding the limits and potential of the EU democratic system. * Production of a Short Film and Journals: Students will shoot a short film documenting the GRECE project and create paper and radio journals at crucial project milestones. These tools will facilitate reflection on their learning, give cohesiveness to a complex project. And last but not least, Il will amplify the project's impact within the school and beyond. * 3-Day Study Trip to Athens in Year 2: Designed as a modern “Grand Tour,” this mobility aims to foster a common European culture among students who m" |
