The project received Prescribed Project status in 2025 to ease approvals and attract investment, and is supported by a $1.3 billion Letter of Interest from the Export-Import Bank of the United States. It is expected to create over 200 jobs and supports the domestic battery supply chain amid growing global graphite demand. |
