Description | Graphite One is developing the Graphite Creek mine on the Seward Peninsula in Alaska, which contains high concentrations of graphite and rare earth elements. The project aims to produce graphite and potentially rare earth metals for electric vehicle batteries and other applications. Alongside the mine, a processing facility in Ohio is planned to produce anode material for electric vehicles, scaling production from 48,000 tonnes annually in 2028 to 169,000 tonnes by 2031. The project is supported by a $2 billion loan offer from the US Export-Import Bank and a $37.5 million grant from the US Department of Defense. |
