Description | JPMorganChase has signed a ten-year carbon removal agreement with Arkansas-based Graphyte, committing to 60,000 tonnes of durable carbon dioxide removal credits. The credits are drawn from biomass residues sourced from timber mill operators and agricultural producers across two US projects: Project Loblolly in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and Project Ponderosa in Flagstaff, Arizona. Project Ponderosa is under development and focuses on forest thinnings to reduce wildfire risk and restore a former mine as wildlife habitat. Project Loblolly is operational, sourcing agricultural and timber residues, supporting local jobs, and converting a former gravel mine into a community park. |
