Description | The Great Basin Expansion Project is a $1.7 billion interstate pipeline development by Southwest Gas, representing the company's largest single investment opportunity. The project received FERC pre-filing approval and completed an oversubscribed supplemental open season in April 2026, with expressions of interest far exceeding the pipeline's designed capacity. It is expected to generate incremental annual margin of $215 million to $245 million once in service in Q4 2028. Capital deployment is planned with approximately 20% in 2026, 55% in 2027, and 25% in 2028, with a 7% AFUDC during construction. The project will be funded with a 50/50 debt-to-equity ratio. |
