Description | The Great Basin 2028 Expansion Project by Southwest Gas Holdings aims to expand the Great Basin Gas Transmission Company's existing 898-mile natural gas transmission system in Northern Nevada. The project will add approximately 1.25 billion cubic feet per day of incremental capacity with minimum twenty-year term transportation service agreements. The expansion involves a potential capital investment between $800 million and $1.2 billion and anticipates expansion rates between $14 and $17 per Dth per month. Completion depends on successful negotiation of binding precedent agreements by Q3 2025 and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) approval. |
