Greater Bengaluru Integrated Satellite Township (Bidadi Township) Project

planned

The Greater Bengaluru Integrated Satellite Township, known as the Bidadi Township project, is an ambitious township development initiative involving the acquisition of around 2,550 acres of land across three villages in Bidadi hobli. The project has faced significant opposition from local farmers due to concerns over displacement and loss of fertile agricultural land. The Urban Development Department has issued the final notification for the second phase of land acquisition, intensifying protests and standoffs between the government and farmers.
