The 900 MW wind farms consist of 111 Siemens Gamesa 8 MW wind turbines located 35 to 50 kilometers off the coast of Changhua County. Greater Changhua 1 is jointly owned by Ørsted (50%) and a consortium of CDPQ and Cathay PE, while Ørsted solely owns Changhua 2a. The farms deliver renewable energy to Taiwan's national grid via Taipower's substation and are expected to generate stable and clean energy for over 25 years. |
