Description

Description

Authorities have proposed Uttar Pradesh's first double-decker road on the Shahberi stretch, connecting Greater Noida West to NH-9. The Rs 900 crore project will build two elevated roads stacked above the existing surface route, which stays open for local traffic. The route runs approximately 2.5 km, with the flyover structure itself spanning around 1,400 metres. It starts at the Eteda Roundabout on the 130-Meter Road in Greater Noida West and ends at NH-9 via Crossings Republik and Shahberi. The structure will have 6 lanes total, 3 on each deck, with the top deck running one-way traffic and the lower deck running reverse one-way. The double-decker structure will use U-shaped pillars, minimising ground-level footprint, keeping local shops, society entrances, and the ground-level service road unaffected during and after construction. The project aims to reduce traffic congestion and create a seamless high-speed corridor from NH-9 to the upcoming Jewar International Airport, benefiting over 1 lakh daily drivers.
