Description | Provision of a sovereign guaranteed loan of up to EUR 35 million to the Office National de l'Assainissement ("ONAS"), the national sanitation utility and an existing Client of the Bank. The proceeds of the EBRD loan will be used by ONAS to finance the construction of a wastewater and treated water transmission network in Greater Tunis to relieve systemic pressure in the wastewater network and link the new El Hessiane WWTP to the network. El Hessiane WWTP is planned to be built under a 22-year PPP scheme and is expected to be the first full-scale PPP in Tunisia's water & wastewater sector. |
