Description	The Greek Street bridge in Stockport, which carried a four-way roundabout over the West Coast mainline next to Stockport station, was dismantled and replaced in a major £20 million project. The old bridge, built in 1958, was removed and a new bridge structure consisting of 51 parts was installed over a 21-day railway closure. The project involved removing 200 concrete beams and installing new concrete cills, steel beams, concrete beams, and parapet wall sections. The railway line reopened on August 23, 2025, but the roundabout and road layout will not reopen until next March after utilities and roadworks are completed.
