Description
Description | A scientific study by German researchers from Brandenburg University of Technology and Fraunhofer Institute modeled future costs of green ammonia and methanol at 72 major chemical industrial sites across 18 European countries, including inland distribution costs. The study highlights that green ammonia imported from outside the EU will be cheaper in much of Europe than locally produced molecules in 2040. It also recommends developing European infrastructure such as maritime terminals for methanol and ammonia imports and inland distribution via rail and road. |
