Green by Goonj Rural Empowerment and Upcycling Initiative

ongoing

Green by Goonj is an initiative that transforms urban waste such as worn-out clothes and household materials into over 100 unique eco-friendly products. These products are handcrafted primarily by rural women, providing them with livelihood opportunities and promoting environmental sustainability. The initiative also supports over 20,000 community-led development projects across India, including water body revival, check dam construction, sanitation improvements, and nutrition-focused kitchen gardens, enhancing climate resilience and socio-economic conditions in vulnerable regions.
