GREEN COPS (working title and previously DE BURGO) is a 6x45’ (alternatively 3x90’) TV Series project produced by Deal Productions (Luxembourg), ndF (Germany) and Take Two Studio (Finland) targeting an adult audience. Filming will happen in Germany, Luxembourg, Croatia and Finland. Series will be in English, German, Luxembourgish, French, Italian and Finnish. Post-production location: Germany. The Series is already supported by broadcasters ZDF in Germany (also a co-producer), RTL in Luxembourg and the Sales agent Eccho Rights for the world sales. Previously, the project had received the support of MEDIA Co-Development fund. Within the present application, the production team includes 25 people and the creative team includes 16 people – but GREEN COPS should, in total have approximately 80 crew and creative members. Synopsis: In a race against time, a brilliant young scientist risks everything to establish a covert task force called SERT within Interpol, determined to expose and bring down the powerful environmental criminals plaguing industry, politics, and organized crime. With her family, team, and own future on the line, she embarks on a dangerous mission to save our planet. This series combines fast paced, exciting stories driven by strong, sympathetic and humorous characters with real and controversial contemporary issues that are relevant, urgent and potentially life threatening to our audience. While the show’s primary purpose is to entertain, each episode will be based on actual events that will resonate with the average viewer. Ecological crimes are of a similar dimension, taking place under the visible surface, but having the potential to affect the whole world. The keywords are: climate change and global warming. The objective of the current MEDIA TV & Content fund is to complete the financing of the Series, to succeed in the production and the post-production stages, then deliver and promote the project.
