Description
Description | Green Deal Challenges: The European Youth Exchanges Experience (EYE)** is a project that unites eight organizations from eight European countries around a common goal: to encourage young people to get involved in the green transition of the Green Deal. To achieve this, EYE relies on a participatory approach, where learning through experience and concrete action against climate change are at the heart of the project. The project uses a unique and innovative format: 100% green youth exchanges, organized simultaneously (2x4) and linked by a unifying mega-game. Serving as the central thread of the project, the game creates a collective dynamic through a stimulating challenge-based competition, where young people (2x100) become agents of change. EYE transcends the traditional boundaries between learning and play by combining pedagogical, playful, and creative aspects. It is simultaneously an educational game, a stimulating competition, and an ideathon, thus fostering learning, engagement, and creativity among participants. It is delivered through a mega-game methodology and a web app, both specifically created to offer concrete challenges (48) related to the ecological transition. Young people are encouraged to work in teams, develop their critical thinking, and propose concrete solutions to current environmental challenges, in all aspects of a youth exchange and beyond. The project aims to achieve lasting, transformative impacts. Beyond raising awareness, educating, and encouraging young people's involvement in the Green Deal, EYE seeks to generate real behavioral changes in daily life and be a methodology that can be easily reused by other youth organizations. EYE will genuinely contribute to the development of green skills, which are essential for the future, by providing young people with the necessary tools to become responsible actors in the ecological transition. |
