"This project is part of the plan TERRES MONVISO" :Terres Monviso – Eco’s project is particularly linked to its prestigious natural and cultural heritage (double UNESCO’s recognition: Cross-border reserve of biosphere and World Heritage). True asset for the Terres Monviso, they unfortunately don’t represent an opportunity of economic development. The territory doesn’t promote these international recognitions due to the under-estimation of the potential which could allow to build a strategy of development. Implementing a network, public and private actors, this potential could be a motor for development thorough green local sectors, which by essence transform these heritages. This PITER aims to create a permanent collaboration for a coordinated gestion of development policies in a homogeneous and well-defined area, the cross-border area of Monviso, thorough the development of new instruments of territorial concertation and the creation of a touristic cross-border destination linked to Monviso. The strategy confirm an high implication of local political institutions, Monviso territory as territorial and identarian aggregation and of a declared political will de front together common problematics of local development thorough 4 simple projects on the 4 axes of the program: Green Economy “research and innovation”, Risk “risks prevention”, ToUR “natural and cultural heritage”, and Incl “health and social services”. Information added on 2021-02-02, regarding the mitigation of the effects of COVID-19 (the coronavirus pandemic that started in 2019): This project reformulated its training activities for companies in order to adapt them to the economic recovery in the context of health emergency and lockdown due to the COVID-19 crisis. It also planned activities to support companies in the economic recovery and new opportunities.
