The main idea of the project is very pro-European. Our intention is to show that Europe, and the European Union in particular, is a secure association where democracy, tolerance, solidarity and common EU citizenship develop. The topic of the project is closely related to current events and the need to respond to them, also to the activities of partner organizations. These represent local governments as well as NGOs. They bring together citizens, enthusiasts, volunteers and want to create lasting cooperation in the EU. The implementation of the project should help to do this. The presented project is a manifestation of the efforts of the countries of the EU to cooperate in several areas of common interest within the framework of pan-European integration. The project reflects on current events in EU - the growth of anti-European sentiments, intolerance and nationalism. This situation is at odds with the values that we as well as our partner organizations espouse. It is in our interest to unite people / nations. Our municipality, Lehnice acts in the project as the main organizer. The preparation and implementation of the project will be supervised by an experienced project team composed of official representatives and active citizens. The team will use experience from implemented similar projects. As the main organizer we will provide space and technical conditions for the activities. We will provide accommodation and meals for all participants from the partners. We will also be responsible for creating the promotional materials to raise the profile of the project and will distribute them to our residents and to partners. The event will bring together partners from Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Serbia and Romania. Each of our partners are established municipalities and organizations. These are responsible partners, each representative of which will be the recipients of the project results. These countries are close in culture but so far away over the years.
