Green hospitals

The FC project Green Hospitals from the special program Social Infrastructure MENA is intended to finance the construction, rehabilitation and/or equipment of green (i.e. energy-efficient and environmentally friendly) hospitals in Morocco. The borrower and sponsor is the Cheikh Khalifa Ibn Zaid Royaume du Maroc (FCKM) Foundation, whose honorary presidents are the Moroccan King Mohammed VI and the President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Khalifa. The main objective of the project is to contribute to improving the health situation of the population in the catchment areas; a secondary objective is to contribute to climate and environmental protection (compared to similarly equipped conventional hospitals). The underlying project (EUR 36.5 million standard loan) is intended to finance the equipment of the university hospital currently under construction in Bouskoura / Casablanca. This is to include national centers of excellence for mother-child care and trauma surgery. The project is to be flanked by an accompanying measure (EUR 5.0 million).
