Several companies including GAIL, Indian Oil Corporation, NTPC, Gujarat Industries Power Company, Reliance Industries, Adani, and TotalEnergies are involved in these initiatives. The government launched the National Green Hydrogen Mission in January 2023 with a ₹19,744 crore outlay and a target of 5 million tonnes per year by 2030, aiming to promote green hydrogen production and use. |
