Andhra Pradesh plans to build a Green Hydrogen Valley as part of its clean energy transition. The project aims to attract ₹10 lakh crore in green investments and create 7.5 lakh jobs. It includes the production of green hydrogen and its derivatives, supported by a comprehensive incentive package. Two major MoUs worth Rs 51,000 crore were signed for green ammonia and green hydrogen projects at Krishnapatnam and Machilipatnam, expected to create over 10,500 green jobs. The initiative leverages the state's vast coastline and logistics network for export and aims to produce 1.5 million metric tonnes of green hydrogen and derivatives annually, alongside 3 GW electrolyser manufacturing capacity and renewable energy sources.
