Description

Description

The project involves the development of a new Green Line Light Rail Transit (LRT) in Tel Aviv, Israel. The Green Line will link the southern (Rishon Lezion and Holon) and northern sections (Hertzliya and Kiryat Atidim) of the Tel-Aviv metropolitan area to the Tel-Aviv city center. It is designed to primarily run at street level (34 km of "at-grade" tracks) and partially underground (5 km of underground tracks), encompassing 58 stops at street level and 4 underground stations. The project entails the design, manufacturing, supply, installation, and construction of all LRT components within the LRT strip. This includes excavation, multi-tabular structures (rail utility infrastructure), tracks, catenary poles for electrification, rail systems, signaling, at-grade stops, technical rooms outside the LRT Strip, rolling stock, and depots situated at the north terminus in Herzeliya and the south-east terminus in Holon. The Herzeliya depot will feature facilities for light maintenance and stabling, while the Holon depot is envisioned as a comprehensive maintenance depot, covering both light and heavy maintenance, with stabling and administrative facilities. These depots will support the Green Line by providing maintenance and stabling services for approximately 120 vehicles.
