Green Lineage Cutthroat Trout Restoration Project

under implementation

A collaborative conservation project involving Denver Water, Colorado Parks and Wildlife, and the U.S. Forest Service to restore the green lineage cutthroat trout, a rare subspecies native to Colorado. The project includes electrofishing to remove invasive brook trout, dam upgrades to block invasive species, and the introduction of 'Trojan trout' that produce only male offspring to naturally eliminate invasive brook trout.
