Description
Description | Raj Peter Bhakta, founder of Bhakta Spirits and WhistlePig, purchased the shuttered Green Mountain College campus in Poultney, Vermont, in 2020 for $4.5 million. He is offering to gift this $200 million asset to a Catholic or Christian institution that shares his vision for a spiritual revival and the return to Western civilization's Christian roots. The campus was originally valued at $20 million before closure due to declining enrollment in 2019. Bhakta is vetting potential beneficiaries capable of fulfilling his vision and prefers a Catholic institution, followed by a Christian group. If no suitable beneficiary is found, he plans to sell the campus. |
