Description
Description | Social entrepreneurs (SE) contribute positively to increased employment level however, most of them are micro-entrepreneurs facing many challenges due to their limited financial resources or the lack of knowledge and skills.Women tends to be more represented within SE,but traditional role model thinking is still hindering their full participation in the economy, especially in rural areas. In non-urban areas, unemployment and depopulation are the main challenges.Developing the skills of social entrepreneurs can enhance a resilient workforce for a digital, green economy and inclusive society. The GRESODI project develops a methodology and simulates it in small scale in three geographical locations, while targeting the same groups (micro-,rural and female social entrepreneurs),using the same process. The project raises awareness on social entrepreneurship, including green and digital aspects. The impact lab and bootcamp events are providing learning opportunity to create the concepts of sound social, green and digital business models and to support impact assessment of social entrepreneurs. Our systematic, non-financial support programme (incubation) will include group training,mentoring/coaching,networking sessions, transnational activities and provide specific green and digital service voucher to social entrepreneurs, which will be awarded to initiatives selected through an open call.Partners will monitor and assess impact to provide data to evidence-based policy-making.GRESODI will build capacity with regular peer-learning and promote wider usage of the tested methodology within and beyond the transnational network of project partners. The main outcome of the project will be to foster acceptance and behavioural changes for more sustainable and digital business models and to contribute to the development of sustainability pathways and transformation tools to make social entrepreneurs become financially viable while adopting green approaches and increasing digital uptake. |
