Description | Essential Utilities is investing $26 million in a 1,400 acre data center facility in Greene County, Pennsylvania. The project includes the design, construction, and operation of an 18-million-gallon-per-day water treatment plant by Essential's subsidiary Aqua to provide cooling for high performance computing. Gas consulting and energy management services will be provided by another Essential subsidiary, Peoples. Gas turbines are expected to be delivered in 2028, with the overall project completion and operational status targeted for the first quarter of 2029. |
