Gripen Fighter Jet Manufacturing and Assembly in Canada

planned

The Swedish manufacturer SAAB proposes to create 10,000 manufacturing and research jobs in Canada by building Gripen fighter jets on Canadian soil if the Canadian government adds the aircraft to its military fleet. The project could involve building a new facility or converting an existing one, with the first Canadian-made Gripen potentially flying within three to five years. The initiative may include technology transfer and collaboration with Canadian companies such as Bombardier, CAE, and IMP Aerospace and Defence.
