OBJECTIVES The general objective of our current CE Media Development Support Slate application is to increase the competitiveness of Gris Medio, as an independent European production company, solidify its position in the market, as well as enhance its co-production capacity with various countries, most of which we have never co-produced before. The final expected result is to improve the distribution possibilities of our projects at a European and international level. ACTIVITIES We submit four feature documentary films (ABYSSINIAN CAT, BEYOND THE MOUNTAINS OF ACROCERO, HOMA, THE MOST PEACEFUL MAN IN THE WORLD). Our activities will include: intensive development (including scriptwriting, casting, location scouting, assembling of creative teams), delivery of scripts and treatments, digitalization of archive materials, animation attending co-production markets and festivals, securing deals with co-producers, sales agents and financiers, securing funds for development and production in Spain and abroad, working on marketing and audience design already from the stage of development, as well as all the steps that will lead to the production of aforementioned projects. Through this slate, we will support the writers and directors of submitted projects, all of which are directed by female filmmakers. Our company will be also benefiting from the allocation of development support (through enhancing the positioning of the company in the market by attending markets and workshops, to expand the team with new hires, work with new territories, experiment with innovative tools like VR). RESULTS The anticipated outcomes include progressing to the development and securing financing for our projects, ultimately leading to principal photography. Along the way, we aim to achieve the following milestones: updated creative materials, updated financing strategies, financing plans and budgets, as well as updated marketing strategies.
