Description

Description

Sustainable business is an important aspect in addressing the global challenges of ensuring the livelihoods of people and nature. German and Danish companies face the challenge of meeting the increased demands of customers and business partners in the future and being competitive and sustainable. GRØN.business is based on the experience of the Interreg 5A sustainability project SARA. Here it was shown that The SDGs are too complex to be used as a tool for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). limited resources in small and medium-sized enterprises are an obstacle. Companies often know what to do, but not how to do it. The overall goal of GRØN.business is to promote sustainability and the transition to circular economy solutions with a focus on SMEs. Here are the results from SARA: practical complexity in the use, management of limited resources and support for concrete action. Approaches to sustainable corporate governance need to be made manageable for businesses and business organisations in practice. MOTIVATION: Increased awareness among companies of the relevance of sustainable governance, in particular circular economy, and support for the implementation of change processes. COMMUNICATION: Target audience-oriented dissemination of the developed instruments and success stories in order to make them widely applicable in companies and among multipliers within the programme region. IMPLEMENTATION: Development of concrete tools and assistance, taking into account the limited resources of companies: from “knowing about” to ““getting started trading”. This raises awareness of sustainable governance, supports the transition to a circular economy and strengthens the region’s competitiveness and attractiveness. The project aims to achieve the following objectives: Corporate Information Portal on Sustainable Corporate Governance, Circular Economy and Examples of Applications A set of practice-oriented concepts, aids and online tools for sustainability advice for SMEs; Guides, brochures and information events for businesses and business promotion agencies Reference model on supply chains and circular economy as practical orientation Needs analysis together with companies and universities and testing the concepts with companies
