Groundwater Treatment Plant and South Water Treatment Plant Renovation

Evansville Water and Sewer Utility (EWSU) is undertaking improvements to the existing South Water Treatment Plant and planning to build a new groundwater treatment facility along with wells. The South Water Treatment Plant, which treats river water and is 50 years old, will be comprehensively renovated. The new groundwater plant design is underway and expected to be completed by mid-2026, after which it will go out to bid. The treated water from both facilities will be mixed and supplied to customers.
