Regional and cross-border culture is rich in a common intangible heritage using multiple knowledge and practices.The project aims to reveal a number of them to the general public, particularly those relating to the use of plants and the imagination they generate in order to give them contemporary added value and insert them into a micro-economic approach, both family and tourist.The mountain plants are linked to multiple traditional domestic uses: culinary, agricultural, pharmaceutical...In addition, nature and the mountain environment fuel an abundant alpine imagination: tales and legends, songs, local festivities, social practices,... Healers and previously witches had adapted this knowledge. Our project aims to restore this link between plant knowledge and social practices by referring to anthropological knowledge but also by questioning the contemporary interest of the public in mountain plants and their uses.Our approach is likely to respond to the concerns of contemporary society: sustainable development, short circuits, health and use of plants, women and society, innovative tourism practices...The project is part of a city-campaign approach within the framework of Greater Geneva.
