Growing Stories is an innovative film company that focuses on development, financing and co-production of feature films and series. We believe in original character driven stories that inspire humans across nations to grow. We believe in the necessity of strong frames and solid leadership roles around creative developments. We believe that creatives create in an inspiring and inclusive atmosphere. This slate consists of four projects intended for international distribution. BLÒT is a tv series set in pre-historic times about young woman, Vår, who is expelled from her tribe and have to find her own way amongst invading tribes with new technologies and the consequences of the climate changes coming from the melting glaciers of the last ice age. In the feature TVIVL, two ambitious musicians’ doubtfully attempt to reject the fact that they are each other’s match. SELAMLIK is a feature about two male lovers who reunite over a weekend after having lost contact for 10 years since they both fled Syria. And finally, INSEL DER GLÜCKSELIGEN is a feature film set on a German music boarding school during the WW2 that tries to protect its students from the war but are forced to deliver soldiers if the students don’t deliver as elite musicians. The ambition with this slate is to bring the projects within the slate from solid development to stronger international co-production with ambitious cross-European distribution. Key in this is having the needed funding to go in depth with story development, visual design, and design of the production – bringing together an international team of creatives, producers, companies and financiers. As main output we will have four strong development packages that can help attract the production financing needed to realize the potential of the slate. The ambition is to reach a broad cross-national distribution and to qualify the slate through co-productions and collaborations with creatives, international buyers and financing partners.
