Description | This project comprises the development of 49 new photovoltaic plants in the states of Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais and Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. The total capacity of the facilities is 144 MW and is planned to distribute solar energy to 28 municipalities. More than 4,500 thousand micro, small and medium-sized companies are expected to benefit from the project. The initiative also supports the mitigation of climate change, as 476,000 tons of CO2 would be reduced over the 25 years of its useful life. The sponsor is Grupo Energisa.
