This project is proposed under the Global Trade Supplier Finance program (“GTSF” or the “Program”) approved by the IFC Board on September 21, 2010 (Project #28723). Under the GTSF, IFC provides shortterm financing to suppliers (“Suppliers”) in emerging markets selling to large companies (“Buyers”) on open account terms. Under this Project, IFC will provide financing to Barry Callebaut AG (“B.C.” or the Company”), the world’s leading manufacturer of high-quality chocolate and cocoa, to establish an up to $30 million facility under the GTSF program. The Project will support Barry Callebaut’s sugar, soy and dairy Suppliers in Mexico, Colombia, Philippines, Brazil, Thailand, Guatemala, and Indonesia. B.C. has approximately 40 third-party sugar, soy and dairy suppliers in these origins. The first phase of this Trade Finance program will be focusing on Barry Callebaut’s sugar suppliers in Mexico
