Description

Description

This project was divided into two phases: Plan de Barrancas I and II (the first phase had an extension of 22 km). The construction phase has been completed and financial closure was achieved with sponsor's equity (25%) and debt from international financial institutions (75%). The concession period would last until the year 2010, but the financial difficulties faced by the sponsor led the Mexican government to include this project in its "bail out" program (the government will pay the sponsor's debt related to the project and the concession will be turned back to the government in 1999).
