Guagua Usme Electric Bus Project

The transaction consists of a loan to acquire a fleet of229 electric busesand build the charging infrastructure associated with the provision of the mass transportation service in the Usme area of the city of Bogotá, capital district of Colombia, following the concession contract. N° 108 of 2021 signed between Empresa de Transporte del Tercer Milenio - Transmilenio S.A., manager of the public mass transport service system in the city and Usme ZE S.A.S. The approximate cost of the project is up to US$92 million and it is expected to have a participation of up to US$31 million or equivalent in Colombian pesos.The project will make it possible to replace part of the Transmilenio public transport fleet, from diesel buses to electric buses, reducing carbon emissions, improving air quality and serving as an example for the region.
