The project entails the construction of a 129.5 MW solar power plant in the state of Hidalgo, Mexico. SPV of the project is Atlas Renewable Energy wholly owned by Energy Fund IV, Actis. Finance of the project is provided as a loan by Banco de Comercio Exterior (Bancomext) in the amount of $ 105.5 million. The project company signed a PPA back in 2016 for 15 years guaranteed purchase of the electric power plus 20 years Green Certificates. The facility is expected to provide enough electricity to benefit more than 120,000 homes and generate more than 300 GW of energy per year. Financial close took place on August 27, 2018.
