Fontes da Serra Saneamento de Guapimirim Ltda. was owned by Brazilian company Emissao Engenharia. Details on how the contract was awarded were not publicly available. According to the Brazilian association for private water and sanitation operators (ABCON), the concessionaire committed to invest some $6 million in the water system over the contract’s lifetime. ABCON info on length of contract (30 years) conflicts with ANA term (20 years). Start dates also differ, see filing system.
