Guinea - Education Project III

The Education Project III is designed to contribute to the development of human resources and the actions envisaged under the project as part of the government's education policy adopted in 1989. The project should help to improve the quality of education at all levels, particularly in basic and secondary education, and to increase the capacity of elementary schools in the perspective of education for all. It should also make it possible to build 250 classrooms in elementary education, acquire approximately 1,270,962 textbooks, teaching aids for pupils in all schools, retrain all teachers and train school principals in population and environmental education. The project includes the following components, namely: (i) improving the quality of elementary and secondary education; (ii) developing elementary education; (iii) promoting girls' enrolment; (iv) promoting population and environmental education; and (v) project implementation office.
