Guinea - PPF Fomi Multipurpose Dam Project

The PPF Fomi Multi-Purpose Dam Project was designed to enable the complementary studies (detailed engineering) of the Fomi Multi-Purpose Dam Project. This intervention will finance the detailed studies for the construction of a dam (a 2.9 billion m3 reservoir and a 2.3 billion m3 regulation volume) equipped with a hydroelectric power plant (90 MW) to supply Guinea and Mali and the development of 3500 ha of irrigated areas in Guinea and Mali. The main expected outputs are: (i) a final ODA study report; (ii) a final ESIA report including an Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP); (iii) a comprehensive resettlement plan (CRP) validated by stakeholders; (iv) a climate change vulnerability analysis; (v) an institutional and cost-benefit sharing study report; (vi) tender documents for the works; (vii) a monitoring and evaluation manual and its implementation mechanism; (viii) a report on the configuration of the management software and the implementation of the management system; and (ix) two audit reports.
