Guinea-Bissau - Primary and Vocational Education Strengthening Project (Education II)

The present intervention concerns the Primary and Vocational Education Strengthening Project (Education II). This project addresses several points, including the creation of an administrative training centre. This centre, with a capacity of 337 students, is expected to provide 60 well-qualified technicians per year in the fields of administration and management, accounting, economics, statistics and secretarial skills. In addition, primary school school infrastructure in the Bissau region should be renovated and built. Through this project, the vocational training sector will be well organised and provide employers with a skilled workforce at all levels. The project has three main components, namely: (i) the establishment of an administrative training centre; (ii) the strengthening of the textbook production unit; (iii) the development and additional equipment of the National High School in Bissau.
