Guinea-Bissau - Public Administration Management Support Project (PAGAP)

The Public Administration Management Support Project (PAGAP) is fully in keeping with the third aspiration of the African Union’s Agenda and the 16th Sustainable Development Goal (ODD).PAGAP will support the Republic of Guinea-Bissau in achieving the third aspiration of Agenda 2063 entitled ‘an Africa of Good Governance, Democracy, Respect for Human Rights, Justice and the Rule of Law.’ The project will specifically target the second goal of this aspiration which is to ‘promote capable institutions and transformative leadership in place.’ Under SDG 16 entitled, “Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions”, this support specifically contributes to the achievement of the targets relating to the fight against corruption and the establishment of accountable and transparent institutions at all levels. PAGAP is also consistent with the implementation of the Bank’s CSP 2022-2026 for Guinea-Bissau focused on the following single priority area: ‘Support structural transformation focused on infrastructure and governance reforms for inclusive growth. Climate finance is not attributed to this project
