Description

The development objective of the Guinea Fisheries and aquaculture Project for Guinea is to strengthen climate resilience and improve value chain development in fishing and aquaculture communities in target areas The project has four components: 1) Sustainable, climate resilient and community-led fisheries management, which improves fisheries governance, research, innovation and key coastal ecosystems conservation for climate resilient fisheries, 2) Selected value chain development, which support the development of key infrastructure and provide technical and operational support to increase the quantity of sustainably produced fisheries and aquaculture products, 3) Resilience and adaptive capacity of targeted communities, which increases access to finance for fisheries and aquaculture and support communities livelihood diversification, 4) Project management, which assists with the institutional arrangements, project implementation, and the effective coordination between the project’s institutions.
