Description

Description

The Guizhou Construction School is the only vocational school in the province specializing in the training of skilled workers in the construction sector, and has a national reputation. Due to the economic growth of the province and investments in infrastructure, there is a massive shortage of qualified skilled workers in the construction industry. The capacity of the GCS is therefore to be increased by a good quarter to 12,500 students and around 4,000 training places, and above all the quality of teaching is to be improved through new equipment, among other things. In addition, a number of new training courses are to be added. 70% of the loan is to finance practical vocational school equipment and 30% student accommodation and classrooms. The total investment volume of the first phase is around EUR 60.3 million, of which EUR 25 million is to be financed with an FC development loan. In a second phase from 2014, a further EUR 25 million of own funds will be used for a library, an adult education center and additional sports facilities.
