Description

Guizhou's leading business university, GUFE, is currently expanding its teaching capacity and undergoing a fundamental modernization. In 2013, it moved to a new headquarters on a state-of-the-art and energy-efficient campus, which will accommodate 19,000 students and 2,500 teachers and professors. In addition, capacity for up to 8,000 continuing education places is being built. In addition to the expansion, the new campus is primarily about improving study conditions. The hope is that this will also increase the reputation of the university and its graduates beyond the borders of the province. The FZ funding loan will be used to finance additional equipment required as well as innovative teaching and simulation software for the finance and business faculties. Another part includes financing for teacher and student apartments as well as the energy-efficient geothermal heat pumps required for this, which will be used for cooling and heating systems. The university also plans to establish an academic exchange with German universities. A pilot project is planned for this purpose, in which scholarships for master's and doctoral students and research projects will be financed for the first time with an FZ funding loan. The total investment volume amounts to around EUR 260 million, of which EUR 30 million will be financed with an FZ funding loan.
