Gujarat University Medical College and 300-bed Hospital

Planned

Gujarat University plans to establish a new medical college along with a 300-bed hospital, including an outpatient department and a helipad for future air ambulance services. The project aims to enhance healthcare access in the western part of Ahmedabad and provide modern medical education aligned with municipal models like NHL Medical College. The hospital and medical college will be developed either at the GMDC ground or another suitable location in the western part of the city. A land survey of university-owned plots will be conducted, with approximately 25-35% of the GMDC ground expected to be allocated for the project. Budget allocation has already been made for the proposed developments.
