Gujiao City Xishan Town Chengdi Mine Wastewater Treatment Plant Reconstruction Project

The project comprises the reconstruction and operation of a Wastewater Treatment Plant, located in Taixin Integrated Economic Zone, Gujiao Area, Xishan Town Chengdi Mine, Shanxi Province, North China. A concession of 30 years has been awarded to a consortium of the companies China Engineering Environmental Technology Co., Ltd., China IPPR, and China National Engineering Corporation (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd. under ROT model. The name of the project company is China Engineering Environmental Science (Gujiao) Water Co., Ltd. There is Government support to the project, but the amount has not been stated. The total investment is $23m, out of which $18.45m are to be debt-financed. The state implementing agency is Gujiao City Urban and Rural Administration Bureau. The state has 20% shareholding share in the partnership company. The start time of the concession is August 2024 and the reconstruction completion is planned for December 2025. The project has a designed scale of 12,000 m³/d, as the work includes the construction of new coarse screens and lifting pump rooms, fine screens and aerated grit chambers, regulating tanks, AAO biological tanks, sludge pump tanks and secondary sedimentation tanks, deep treatment rooms (with high-efficiency sedimentation tanks and D-type filters), ozone contact tanks, and other engineering contents.
