Description

The 25-MW Gundersweiler 2 wind farm project in southwestern Germany is currently under construction and expected to begin operations in the summer of 2027. The project will use four Vestas V-162 wind turbines, each with a nominal capacity of 6.2 MW, a hub height of 169 metres, and a rotor diameter of 162 metres. It is expected to generate nearly 70 GWh of electricity annually, enough to supply around 25,000 households. The project was sold by JUWI GmbH to the Diehl Group's metal processing unit Diehl Metall Stiftung & Co. KG, with wpd invest GmbH serving as the advisor on the transaction.
